This year manage to have darshan of Adi Kailash, thus finished my 6 Kailash Journey which started in 2009.
14 years back, on the same route which trekked each day, this time traveled through road though bumpy but it was motor-able…and in the past the journey which took few days to travel on foot to reach Gunji….this time, it was in one day reaching Gunji from Dharchula.
Day-1 : 13-Oct-23 – Kathgodam to Dharchula
Started from Kathgodam Railway station in Bolero Camper by 5.30am…..next stop was at Kaichi Dham….had good darshan by 7.30am….then visited Jageshwar Dham….reached Pithoragarh…and then Dharchula by 7pm..so almost 2hrs of travel today
Day-2 : 14-Oct-23 – Dharchula to Gunji
Started by 11am….en-route to Tavaghat, mangti nala…had lunch @ Pangla by 1pm..started from pangla…en-route Malpa, Budhi, Chiyalekh….@ Chiyalekh by 3.30pm welcomed by hailstorm, the temperature dropped due to this. Had a tea break…and started again to reach Garbhyang by 4pm then Gunji by 5pm..so almost 6-7 hrs of travel.
